In our view yes, it is currently, and here’s why. Having dropped from £34.99 to £29.99 towards the end of last year, and following savings in their 3 Months Free deal over Black Friday, the cost of this package then dipped to £28.99 before returning to £34.99. In the below a test is run three times, reaching a download average of 150.08 Mbps / 149.86 Mbps / 149.51 Mbps and an upload average of 30.96 Mbps / 30.87 Mbps / 30.91 Mbps.

Comments are largely negative ranging from excessive charges, and price hikes, to poor customer service. Mbps stands for Megabits per second, which measures data transfer speed. In contrast, Megabytes (MB) is a unit of digital information storage. To convert from Mbps to MB/s (Megabytes per second), you need to divide by 8 because there are 8 bits in a byte.
Assuming your BT Smart Hub 2 (or equivalent) is correctly set up, BT’s Full Fibre 100 connection can support streaming on 50 to 85 devices simultaneously at 720p (HD Ready), given a 1.76 – 2.00 Mbps requirement per second for 720p HD. If you increase the resolution to Full HD (1080p), which is ideal for watching movies, it requires 2.64 – 3.12 Mbps per second. This means you can stream on 32 to 57 devices concurrently.
For those who prefer watching movies in UHDTV1 (4K) and UHDTV2 (8K), the number of devices that can stream simultaneously drops significantly.
